Performance Mixer MKII
The center of your live rig. Eight stereo channels with real faders, per-channel pan or crossfade, CV over level and both aux sends, and one-hand group recall mid-set. An 8-layer board and a fully stereo path drop the noise floor and bleed far below the original. Balanced outs, master insert, stereo cue, and headphone monitoring cover the show. Replaceable faders keep you gigging, and it scales to 24 channels.

Product Details
The Performance Mixer MKII is the center of your live rig. Eight stereo channels, real faders under your hands, and routing deep enough to run the entire show without leaving the case. Every channel is stereo with CV over pan, level, and both aux sends, so the mix becomes something you play instead of something you set and forget. An 8-layer board and a redesigned signal path drop the noise floor and channel bleed far below the original. Field-replaceable faders keep you gigging, balanced direct outs feed your DAW, and it scales to 24 channels as your rig grows. Unlock Your Sound. Unleash Your Art.
Nine Years of Your Feedback
The original Performance Mixer let people ditch the outboard mixer, keep their system patched while traveling, and actually find the kick in a dark room. Then you wrote us. Almost every suggestion we received is engineered into this unit.
We showed an earlier MKII at Superbooth 2023. It was finished and could have shipped, but it was mostly the MKI with better manufacturing. The cost went up and the feature set didn't. So it went back to the bench for another year of redesign. This is that mixer: stereo throughout, quieter, more modular, and built to be serviced instead of shipped back.
The Channel Strip
Stereo everywhere. Inputs, busses, auxes, and cue are all stereo. Patch Left only and it normals to Right for mono sources.
Gain with a clip LED. A −12 dB to +20 dB trim range takes line-level gear directly, and the LED lights 1 dB before the input stage clips, so you catch it before your audience does.
Faders that feel right. A smooth level curve for riding the mix live, with a yellow position indicator you can read at a glance.
Soft mute. One button press, no click, red LED confirmation.
Pan or crossfade, per channel. Flip the toggle and the pan pot becomes a crossfader between the Left and Right inputs, summed dead center. Ideal for kicks and bass, and it lets you run two sources into one channel. CV sums with the pot on both modes.
Faders as VCAs. Switch Level CV from SUM to VCA and the fader becomes an attenuator for the CV input. SUM handles ducking and modulation; VCA turns the strip into a voltage-controlled mixer.
Two stereo sends. AUX1 is always post pan/fader. AUX2 switches pre or post and also runs in VCA mode.
Cue and Bus. Hold CUE or BUS and tap a channel. The Bus LED cycles through master only, master plus bus, or bus only, so you can pull stems out of the main mix on the fly.
Groups. Hold GROUP with a combination of buttons to toggle mute, bus, and cue across several channels at once. Or save eight full mute/bus/cue snapshots to the eight channel buttons and recall them with one hand mid-set, across the PM MKII and every connected Channels MKII.
Master Section
Master Insert sends the main mix out and back for compression or EQ (or our Bus Rider mastering module), while Mix In sums after the insert for effects you want left untouched. Aux Ret lands before the insert. Bus, Aux1, and Aux2 all have their own stereo outs.
Mstr Out is stereo balanced, with a 6-pin header behind the panel for Intellijel's balanced 1/4" outputs over a ribbon cable. The LED VU meter reads the final bus pre-master pot. Cue/Mix blends cue against main in the headphones, with level control and a 3.5 mm jack on the far left.
Everything is in phase. Every point on the panel and every rear header. Parallel effects and creative routing just work.
Built to Stay in Service
Channel strips are identical, stereo, and replaceable by you. A spill or a worn fader means about 30 minutes with a T-6 driver, not a return shipment. The patchbay, power board, and master section are separate assemblies for the same reason. All jacks are grouped to the left, keeping cables off your controls and giving the knobs room across the full 3U.
Expansion
- Channel Inserts connect to CHNL SRFR or Bus Rider with no patch cables.
- DB25 MKII provides balanced line-level outs to your DAW. Choose any two headers per module: pre-fader 1–4, pre-fader 5–8, post-fader 1–4, post-fader 5–8, or mixes (Aux1, Aux2, Bus, Main). All five are live simultaneously.
- Direct Outs offer the same connectivity at modular level on 3.5 mm jacks.
- PM Channels MKII adds four channels at a time, up to 24 total, with MIDI, groups, auxes, and direct outs flowing back to the mixer.
- PM MKII Returns adds three stereo returns with pre/post Master Insert routing.
Expansion headers use 2.0 mm shrouded connectors that cannot be hooked to power. No more blown opamps, no bent pins in shipping.
